Gun Settings

I recently purchased a LPH400-LV with a silver cap for clear and the purple cap for my base coat. I will be spraying a 65 Corvette with Silver Pearl paint. I would appreciate some help with recommended gun settings to start with.

Also I see that there is a manual for the LVB cap, can I get a copy of that? How about the chopsticks trick?

Take a look in your inbox your requests for the LVB & CHOP STICK SCUFF PAD TRICK SHOULD BE THERE,
Follow the instructions very closely and your silver job will turn out great. When you get ready for the clear setting just come on back.

Just in case I don't get a chance to come back after my base is on can you give me some clear settings now? I will be spraying SPI Universal clear. I see the gun inlet pressure recommendation in the LVB manual, what do you recommend for a pressure setting back at the compressor?

Set the material control knob at 4 full turns open from the closed position.

Set the fan control knob all the way to the left and the same for the air valve in the gun handle.

With the trigger in the full back position and with air flowing through the gun set the inlet pressure at 16 - 20 PSI

If you have a gauged air regulator attached to the gun - set the tank pressure a 100 - 125 PSI
