Coalescing filters

Hi everyone. New to the board and painting in general. I have a question concerning coalescing filters.

I have purchased a Wilkerson m30 filter and was wondering if the "b" filter is sufficient (.5 microns), or should I opt for the "c" filter (.01 microns).

Hello Ton,
The .5 micron coalesing filter will be more than sufficient for spray painting.

Thanks HUB. I really appreciate the help.

I've been reading alot about air line hard piping on this board and was wondering about something. I've installed a secondary 50 gallon air tank between my compressor and my booth. I had already piped the booth with 3/4" black pipe before reading all the great stuff here so I was hoping that by putting a second tank in between I would get the same effect as running a larger diameter line directly from the compressor.

Am I on the right track, or do I need to re-pipe.
(I guess you know which answer I'm goin for, huh?)

Good news, the only way you could have made it better is to have used Copper or Aluminum pipe.

Hey, not to worry you'll be just fine - Just don't forget to drain the tanks on a regular schedule.
